Happy Birthday Hailey!

Today we celebrated Hailey's birthday. Hailey brought two books to share with us. She brought The Berenstain Bears at the Aquarium by Jan and Mike Berenstain and Pete the Cat: Pete's Big Lunch by James Dean. We read the Berenstain Bears one first. The kids liked this book because many of them have at least been to the zoo to see these animals and some have been to aquariums before, so they could relate to them. The Pete the Cat book was very funny and the kids loved thinking about the food he added to his sandwich and if they like it or not. These are two great additions to the classroom library.

Happy Birthday Eva!

Yesterday we celebrated Eva's birthday. She brought in a bible for the class. She brought The Beginner's Bible by Zonderkids. It worked out perfectly because we were starting the story of Joseph and his coat this week. We were able to read the story from the new Bible. The kids really get into the different Bible stories. They asked a lot of good questions about the story and were very intrigued.

I'm Back!!

Yesterday was my first day back. It was a big adjustment for me. I had gotten so used to being home with my baby for 9 weeks. It will take me some time to get back into the routine, but I am excited to be back at school and to spend time with the kids. They seemed like they were excited to see me...let's hope they were!
