Happy Birthday Hannah!

Today we celebrated Hannah's birthday. She brought the book Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day by Judith Viorst. The kids are very familiar with the book since the movie is out right now. Some of the kids mentioned they had seen the movie or were going to see it. Every time we got to a part that mentions the "terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day" the kids loved saying it all together. Sharing the book was a great way to end our day.

The Lost Sheep

Today for Mass, our class planned and prepared the readings and activities. The first reading was about a shepherd leading his sheep to green pastures and helping sheep along the way. Our class acted out the first reading in a small skit before Mass. The kids worked hard and did a great job! Here are a few pictures from the skit.

Happy Birthday Alex!

Yesterday, we celebrated Alex's birthday with her birthday book. Since her birthday is close to Halloween, she brought in a Halloween book. She brought Room on the Broom by Julia Donaldson. The kids loved this rhyming book to help celebrate the upcoming holiday. It will be a great addition to our Halloween books!
