Christmas Week

The week before Christmas break was CRAZY!! I was in and out during the week with sick kids at home and the schedules at school were not-so-normal. We did get some pictures throughout the week with some of the festivities. On Monday, the kids dressed up as a nativity character. On Tuesday, we made igloos with toothpicks and marshmallows. On Wednesday, it was a dress-up day for Mass. On Friday, we played BINGO and had our Christmas celebration.

Blizzard Day

Today, the school looks like a blizzard came through. All of the kids are dressed in white. We have been having a Christmas Raffle throughout the day and watched Frosty the Snowman to go with the snow theme. Thankfully, no one got lunch on their clothes. Everyone stayed clean.

Christmas Shirt and Candy Cane Day

Yesterday, we celebrated the second day of Christmas Week. We all wore our best Christmas shirts with different Christmas headgear. We also focused on peppermints and candy canes. We made peppermint ornaments, read The Legend of the Candy Cane and watched the movie to go with it. The candy cane has so many hidden meanings that the kids did not know. It was like light bulbs going off when the symbols were pointed out to them.

Nativity Day!

Today was the first day of Christmas Week and we started with a bang! We celebrated Nativity Day where the kids dressed up as different nativity characters. We had just about everything: Mary, sheep, shepherds, angels, stars. We also focused on nativity stories and activities throughout the day as well.

Dress Up Day

Today we all dressed up in our nice Christmas clothes for Mass. The kids looked wonderful today.

Nativity Character Dress Up Day

Yesterday, we had Nativity Character Dress Up Day. All of the students dressed up like different people from the Nativity. We had Mary (complete with baby Jesus), Joseph, stars, angels, shepherds, wise-men, and animals. The kids had a great time and looked awesome.

Happy Candy Cane Day!

Today we celebrated Candy Cane Day! The students dressed in red and white today and we did all things candy cane. We took a picture with the whole school in the shape of a candy cane. We read the book The Legend of the Candy Cane. We watched the movie The Legend of the Candy Cane. We got candy cane bookmarks. We also painted candy cane ornaments. It was another great day of Christmas Week!

Christmas Shirt and Sock Day!

Today was the start of Christmas Week here at school. We started the week off with Christmas shirt and Christmas sock day. The kids looked great in their festive clothes.
