| First we went into the milk house and saw where the milk is stored. |

| Next we went into the milk parlor. We saw where and how the cows got milked. |

| There were 32 cows getting milked all at once. |

| Then we went into the barn to see where the cows can wait until it is their turn to get milked. The farm milks 500 cows three times each day. We saw cows that are three and four years old. |

| We were able to get up close and personal with the cows. |

| It was perfect weather for the field trip. |
 |
| We were able to pet two baby cows. One was seven weeks old and the other was 4 weeks old. |

| The kids loved the calves. |
 |
| Lastly, we talked about the importance of dairy foods and making sure we get three servings each day. The kids were able to enjoy and cheese snack at the very end. |
